UniSpace will serve as the unified management platform, allowing operations staff to directly view and restore historical data from Commvault through this interface, while Commvault continues to act as the primary backup tool for new business systems. This approach effectively revitalizes historical data assets and significantly reduces operational costs.
2. Phase 2: Optimizing Strategies to Build an Efficient Backup System
In this phase, UniSpace will gradually evolve into the bank's unified long-term media management platform, taking full responsibility for data protection of business systems with retention periods exceeding 180 days. Both parties will jointly review existing backup strategies, combining "short-term snapshots" with "medium- to long-term protection" to form best practices. Meanwhile, UniSpace nodes will be deployed directly in newly launched systems, gradually transitioning new business data from Commvault to UniSpace.
3. Phase 3: Unified Operations for Full Control of the Domestic Platform
As the integration of historical data is progressively completed, the bank will achieve a minimized Commvault environment, retaining only necessary components for data recovery. UniSpace will become the unified operations platform for long-term backup data, meeting compliance audit requirements through features such as intelligent index recovery and permission mapping.
